(vaginal,anal sex  ) (ALL ARE HARAM IN ISLAM)
Unfortunately we do have today some Muslim men/husbands and some Muslim youth/sons who got the HIV virus because of Zina.
Zina/adultery can bring  also more than 20 sexually transmitted diseases,apart from AIDS!
-Anal intercourse/homosexual  sexual relation(ALL ARE HARAM IN ISLAM)
-Sharing needles/syringes for injection among  drug addicts,when one person is infected
 Taking drugs(Heroin,Morphine,Cocaine,LSD...) are HARAM in Islam
Unfortunately,we have  many Muslims today ,especially  some youth,who take  illegal drugs and are addicted to it.
 
 
Some other causes for getting HIV/Aids infection:
-Blood transfusion,if not clean and  not sterilised,more risk in third world poor countries
-The infected husband giving it to his wife after committing adultery/Zina with an infected woman/prostitute
 Or the infected wife giving it to her husband,after committing Zina/adultery with another  infected
man
-The infected wife giving it to her child,during pregnancy,birth and in some breastfeeding
 
Rarely:
From the infected  unclean razor blade in the barber shop
Any razor blade should be used once for disposable after
From an unsterilised medical instrument which carries the HIV virus,used during a surgical operation or in dental treatment(cut/blood)
 
SYMPTOMS/SIGNS
 
-Chest problems,pneumonia and more infection with Tuberculosis

-Parasitic and fungal infections
-Flu-like symptoms:Cough,fever...
-Loss of weight/Wasting
-Gastrointestinal(Diarrhea,oesophagitis,tumours..)
-Kaposi sarcoma/Skin tumours
-Neurological and Psychiatric problems
........
 
TESTS
 
It is very important to do some tests,by finding the the antibodies of the virus in the blood,especially after doing any of the Haram causes of infection(Adultery,anal intercourse...).
Repeated test can be done after 3 months,as sometimes the test may not show the infectionthe virus yet.
It is  very advisable for pregnant woman to have the test early in pregnancy and to test both man and woman before marriage.
There could be many Muslims who are infected with the virus and do not know about .
Those who went astray and committed any haram practice or Zina,should have the test quickly before they infect their wives.
The GP can organise easily the test for any one
Testing can be done  in confidentiality or private clinic.
 
TREATMENT:
 
There is no treatment for HIV/AIDS infection and there is no cure,AIDS is a killer disease!
However there are some Antiretrovirus drugs which can  be used to stabilise the symptoms and delay  perhaps some deaths.
But they are expensive  to buy unfortunately!
 
PRIMARY PREVENTION IS THE BEST STRATEGY TO ADOPT ,AS IT  WILL SAVE A LOT OF  LIFE AND A BIG FINANCIAL BILL
 
By practicing Islam:Chastity/Abstinence before marriage and fidelity in marriage  and  by avoiding all haram behaviour (Zina/adultery,anal intercourse/practicing homosexual anal intercourse,taking haram illegal drugs...)

Avoiding oral sex will help too in order  to avoid some HIV/AIDS infections 
This Islamic practice by itself will avoid us about 99% of HIV/AIDS infections.
Hence the great role of Islam in the prevention of most AIDS  infections.

More,the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) has predicted before in a well known Hadith that NEW DISEASES will occur when Zina/adultery and sexual immorality are widespread as it is today!
On top of all that,there is a great bonus of health,for the prevention of a large number of cases of HIV/AIDS infections,  from our  beloved  physician and teacher Sayyidna Muhammad(peace be upon him),who asked us more than 1400 years ago to CIRCUMCISE OUR BOYS:
The World Health Organisation(WHO) has announced about 2 years ago,after doing repeated medical studies,
TO CIRCUMCISE ALL BOYS AND MEN IN THE WORLD TO AVOID 60% OF HIV/AIDS infection....!!!

Few days ago:10  new medical studies have given the same message on Circumcision as the WHO.
What a great healthy Sunnah and contribution from the final Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) to mankind..
Recently the president Obama in the US announced that he has allocated a special budget to CIRCUMCISE 5 million people in Africa!
Also the US Congress in 2008 allocated a budget of $48 billion dollars for 5 years for HIV/AIDS infections.
Many people do not know that any patient infected with HIV/AIDS will cost us  £500 000  in order to look after him during his life!
No doubt Islam is very ECONOMIC too,when practiced and will save us trillions of pounds!
ALHAMDULILLAH FOR THE GREAT HEALTH GIFT OF ISLAM !

May ALLAH protect our children, our youth,our husbands ,our wives and all Muslims from any HIV/AIDS infections...Ameen
